How we publish

Editorial standards

Rules used to keep procurement content transparent, practical and cautious.

Vendor neutrality

We do not rank procurement software or accept supplier bids. Examples use generic suppliers unless an official standards body or public authority must be identified.

Primary sources first

For standards and public-sector examples, we prefer official sources such as ICC, ISO and government procurement portals.

No invented precision

Calculator defaults are starter assumptions, not industry averages. We do not publish invented “typical” duty rates, supplier scores or landed costs.

Jurisdiction awareness

Public procurement, customs, tax and contract rules vary. Country-specific examples are labelled and linked to current official material where practical.

Corrections

Substantive corrections can be reported through the contact page. Content may be updated as standards or official guidance changes.
